AmeriCorps Youth Ambassador Up-Close
AmeriCorps Youth Ambassador Up-Close
The AmeriCorps Youth Ambassador Up-Close Video captures a glimpse of the member experience through the eyes and mouth of a currently serving member, Margo Price AmeriCorps Youth Ambassador Mentor Coordinator at Stanton Middle School in Wilmington, DE. Margo is a 2nd year member and served as a VISTA AmeriCorps member in 2010 - 2011 in the state of Arizona. The AmeriCorps Youth Ambassador program currently serves more than 10 schools ranging from elementary through high school grades, providing them with mentor coordinators trained to develop and promote mentoring programs at the school level. The program is a partnership with Connecting Generations Inc. and Communities in Schools of Delaware. We are proud to show how the AmeriCorps Youth Ambassador experience depicts the "AmeriCorps Works" concept! This past year the AmeriCorps Youth Ambassador program helped Connecting Generations Inc. reach the 10,000th mentor plateau within the state! Thank you for the opportunity to share our program with you. The video was prepared by 2 serving AmeriCorps Youth Ambassadors also in the state of Delaware: Adib Rushdan, serving at William Penn High School in New Castle, DE and Dionta Cox, serving at Towne Point Elementary School in Dover, DE.
